On the 24th of October 2011 I am swimming 10k (400 lengths in Stonehaven pool) in order to raise money for Maritime Rescue Institute. They provide the lifeboat service for the Kincardineshire coastline as well as training other lifeboat organisation. Having swum since an early age and been part of MRI SAR team I thought this would be a suitable challenge to get me fitter and raise money for a charity I care about. 10k swims is seen as the marathon of swimming so it is going to be a big challenge. Any money you donate will help maintain the boats and keep the crew in gear so can continue to respond to emergency call outs 24/7 365 days of the year
