Jimi Heselden was one of life's most generous people, not only with the money he gave to charity, but with his larger-than-life personality and sense of humour. His tragic death on Sunday 26th September has left a huge gap in the lives of so many people.
Over the past two year, Jimi put £23 million into the Hesco Bastion Fund, named after his Leeds-based company. We, at the Leeds Community Foundation, have been privileged to have worked alongside him to help distribute some of this money to charitable causes in which he was interested.
His family have asked that, instead of flowers, donations are given to the Leeds Community Foundation and to Help for Heroes. We have decided to set up a special fund - Jimi's Fund - so that we can ensure any monies donated can be directed towards projects that Jimi would have wanted to fund.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Foundation and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
If you would like to make a donation in memory of Jimi, please do. In that way we can make sure that his own spirit of giving keeps on having a positive impact locally.
