WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sun was shinining down on us and the crowds were out in their thousands to help cheer everyone along!!!

I am delighted to say we did the full 13.1 miles and even though the last few miles were tough, we got there in the end, it was such a great feeling finishing in the Madjeksi Stadium, a real 'olympic' moment. (even though I (Jo) was a crying wreck at the end of it when I saw dad)!!!

A BIG thanks to all those who sponsored us for Prostate Cancer Research and offered us encouragement and also Mum, Dad, Sean and Leanne who had to cope with our 'aches and pains' and endless conversations about running!!!

This 'justgiving' page is open until mid June so please, if you havent sponsored us, feel free to do so for this great cause and also if you feel like sponsoring us again as we actually managed to complete it, then even better:)!!!

Jo's finishing time - 2hr 19mins

James' finishing time - 2hr 28 mins

(not bad for 'first time half marathon/non runners)!!! There is life in the 'old girl' and 'boy' yet LOL!!!

Thanks again xxxxxxxxxxxx and here's to the next half Marathon in September in London and hopefully raising more money and awareness for Prostate Cancer Research

A few words why we are running the Reading Half Marathan........

Our family have been deeply affected by Cancer over the last 10 years as our Dad is fighting Lymphoma (Cancer of the lympth glands) and more recently, Prostate Cancer. He continues to fight this dreadful disease which affects many people and their families everyday. Our Dad has shown great courage, spirit and dignity and has never lost his sense of humour, he still worries about us (even at the ripe old ages of 37 & 38)!!!. Even though we have always been there for our Dad, we felt we wanted to do more so myself and my Brother, James have decided to run the Reading Half Marathan to raise money for Prostate Cancer research.

I hope you can 'dig deep' and sponsor us for this great cause. Many thanks to you all for your generous support!!

Mum and Dad - this is for you xxxx Luboos xxxxx Jo & James
