Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In a moment of madness, i have decided to swim a mile in the Great River Thames on Saturday 3rd of July.
I'm fundraising for Wateraid who provide safe water around the world to those in need.
Safe water and sanitation are basic human rights. Everyone in the world should have access to them, yet One in eight people do not have access to safe water, around 884 million people
Wateraid provide clean safe water, as well as educating people on hygiene techniques and assisting local community projects to prevent many dying from lack of safe water.
They will appreciate every penny and it all counts...
£5 can buy a bag of cement to make a latrine slab in Ghana
£15 can help one person gain access to safe water, sanitation and improved hygiene.
£20 can train four hand pump mechanics in India.
£21 can pay a trained mason to help construct a well in Malawi.
In a bid to raise funds for some clean water, i will be swimming in the dirty Thames water, where I'll be donning the wetsuit and hoping the sharks and dead bodies don't grab me from the depths!
If you would like some entertainment in return for your pennies, please come down at watch at Victoria Dock on Saturday!
