Eleven years ago I cycled across Britain, from Whitehaven to Sunderland in 3 days with a gamely bunch of ladies raising money for Cancer Research.  We're doing the same again this year except I am raising funds for the Arthritis Research Campaign.  Some of you may be aware that I now have rheumatoid arthritis but am the lucky beneficiary of anti-TNF drugs which have given me back my mobility.  Having risen to the challenge of coping with the disease and knowing that the drugs have got me back on my bike I want to take on this cycling challenge and, with your help, raise funds for arc. Arthritis, in its many forms, affects millions of people - young and old.

arc relies entirely on the public to fund their work.

There's going to be a lot of fun, a few sore joints and perhaps the odd tear.  I may be crackers but I couldn't miss out on this supported opportunity - you never know what's around the corner (though in this instance it will be another hill!)
