Story

Yes - I've lost my mind again and I'm running the London Marathon for the 3rd time! After taking 2009 off from marathon running I thought I should get back in the swing of things. What's even more exciting is that I'm being joined by friends. Colleen LaFontaine and Zoe Bloor (yes - a cousin!) will be joining me running the London course for the very first time. Wow, does that make me a veteran?

I'll be blogging about training and all the craziness that goes along with it at  http://inchbyinch.typepad.com again so if you haven't signed up to get my updates please do so. I'm also setting MUCH higher goals for myself. I've just recently run a 2 hr 22 min 1/2 marathon which puts me in the sub 5 hour marathon pace finally!

Goal for the race: Run a sub 5 hour marathon

Stretch goal for the race: Run a 4 hour 25 min race on 4/25/2010

Again, my wonderful friends at SPARKS have given me a spot on their team. SPARKS  is the children’s medical research charity. Their sole remit is to fund research across the whole spectrum of paediatric medicine.  The goal is for all babies to be born healthy and stay healthy.

Every day 70 babies are born in the UK with a life-threatening condition or an illness that will affect them and their families for life.  Sparks aims to reduce this statistic so all children have the chance of a healthy future.

So please dig deep and sponsor me online. The SPARKS folks are so wonderful for the kids and totally took care of this kid last year.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: SPARKS will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support
