Coeliac UK is the only charity in the UK, which supports those with coeliac disease and dermatitis herpetiformis. It receives no government funding and is dependent on the generosity of the public to fund practical support, awareness raising and research into the condition.

My story

So the mid-life crisis is coming along nicely. Having bought a motorbike and been zorbing this year, what better way to end the summer than by jumping out of a plane with my mam and a mate? I've done it before, and absolutely loved it, so I'm looking forward to doing it again and this time, hopefully, raising a lot of money for a charity that is home.

I've been working for Coeliac UK for over two years now, and I thought it was about time to raise some money for the people and community I have been working for. Coeliac disease is a serious life long condition where the body's immune system reacts to gluten found in some foods, making the body attack itself. If left undiagnosed, the disease can lead to lead to infertility, multiple miscarriages, osteoporosis and bowel cancer.

So if you can dig deep and sponsor my September jump, all money raised will go direct to Coeliac UK to help continue the great work the charity does. I know I'm biased, but it really is a good cause.

Marilyn

My daughter works for Coeliac UK and has roped me into raising money with her. It's a real ambition to jump out of a plane on the approach to my 60th year on the planet, so let's hope it's a good jump and I'll live to tell the tale! I did a jump many moons ago and really enjoyed it. That, though, was a solo jump from a much lower height, so free falling from 10,000 feet is going to be a brand new adrenalin rush for me. I'm really looking forward to it, and being strapped to a young man whilst I take the plunge can only be an added bonus! So for all those mums out there, please do sponsor us if you can as it's a really good cause.
