So you're reading this correctly, I am going to do an abseil for a good cause. The charity does a lot of good to save endangered animals, from the website, which puts it more eloquently then I ever could.

There are just 400 asian lions left in the wild. They survive only in the Gir Forest in western India – but this tiny, isolated population is vulnerable to disaster, disease and inbreeding. The lions share the Gir Forest protected area with over 15,000 people, who use the land to graze cattle. Human-wildlife conflict is escalating, with more than 40% of lion deaths now linked to humans. Resolving these clashes between lions and people is the most important challenge for conservation.
