JAILBREAK 2009

On Friday 30th October, me and my partner Ellie started our challenge known as JAILBREAK, which was to get as far away from Manchester as possible WITHOUT SPENDING A SINGLE PENNY on travel!! We left the student union at 4:00pm along with over 100 others taking part!

After a hard 30 HOURS constantly on the move (bar a about 2 hours sleep at mine after failing to get flights from Luton Airport) we didn’t actually manage to leave the country apart from venturing slightly in to Wales for a few minutes at Cardiff Central Train station. We did manage however to travel over 600 miles around the UK for free in the 30 hours, which was awesome though really tiring! It was all in order to raise money for KidsCan a children’s cancer research charity trying to find better cures and treatment for child cancer, it would be great if you could sponsor me/donate a small amount to the charity all in order to support the cause!
