My story

Well, it was going to be the two of us, but now it's just one  - unfortuatnely I (girl Jo) am going to have to defer my place at the 2012 London Marathon for a year, due to a niggling injury that I just can't shift (achilles tendonosis, which seems to be getting worse rather than better and which, so I've been informed, is also down to my age - cheek!!); anyway, boy Joe will be still be participating (he wouldn't let some ankle pain get in his way) and I will, of course, support him with his fundraising and on the day......

Our chosen charity is Alone In London; this fantastic charity provides a range of services to young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness; their dedicated team of staff and volunteers work across all 32 London boroughs to support some of the capital's most vulnerable young people and your dontation will support this organsation to continue it's very important work.

We are hoping to raise £1,000, so please please give generously and keep the 22nd April 2012 free to come along and give Joe loads of support (and to keep me company)

Thanks to everyone

Love Jo & Joe

Alone in London

Charity Registration No. 1107432

Alone In London not only restores stability in the lives of vulnerable young people, who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless, but also commits considerable resources to a range of prevention programmes. Its projects raise awareness amongst school pupils of what homelessness is about, how to defuse conflict - the biggest cause of young people running away from home, and where they can get help if difficulties become too much. On average, each year, over 3,000 young people benefit from Alone In London's support and advice. <p> Alone in London is part of Circle Support - registered charity 1107432
