Hi world,

Please help me raise my target of £ 3600! I have plunged into a serious yet a very worthwhile challenge. For six weeks I will be fundraising in Nottingham for Karuna Trust (www.karuna.org). I'm originally from Sweden, but have lived in the UK for a few years working volountary.

During these six weeks, I will be knocking doors every evening Monday to Friday. Out on the streets, I never know what is going to happen! It might rain or snow - doesn't matter - I'm going to knock those doors every night.

Meeting unknown people is also an interesting experience. Sometimes frightening, sometimes I feel nakedly vunerable or very nervous. But then there are moments, when I have lovely chats with people, who become like friends.

My aim is to have a heartfelt connection with all the people I meet, as they are, rather than just potential supporters. To move somewhat towards acheiving this it is crucial for me to be very aware and positive myself. Real communication starts with oneself. Only then can one listen and respond appropriately to another individual. This is the ground from where I'm striving to do my fundraising.

 

In short, my aim is to positively meet people and communiate to them something of my idealism, so that their own generosity might be awakened to contribute to a very important cause!
