Hi,
I'm John,
Sadly the adventure is over, we finished Wed 2nd of June at 4pm , summary of our 18 day adventure follows.
Thanks to you all for your fantastic support, I can't tell you how much we appreciate all the encouragement and good wishes that we have recieved regarding this journey
People have been so generous and helpfull in all manner of ways, obligingly giving us directions, washing our kit, feeding us, simply being interested in what and why we were doing the ride, it has truly been an inspiration to realise that there are so many good and kind people in the world, and although the majority will never see this page I would like to acknowledge and thank each and everyone of them.
Please keep the donations coming if you can, really would like to break through the 2 thousand pounds if possible Thanks again JB

provides support and treatment to children and families dealing with (SCID) Severe Combined Immunodeficiency.
Along with my daughter Helen (my wife providing back up) I have set myself the ultimate British cycling challenge of riding approximately 950ish miles from Lands End to John O’Groats.
You will probably think that I’m crazy, but at least this is a challenge of my choosing, which often in life is not always the case.
Sometimes, as with the Bubble babies and their families, challenges are thrust upon us whether we want them or not, and we have to deal with them the best way we can.
Three years ago I was diagnosed with cancer, it’s now two years since my last cycle of chemotherapy, and at the moment all is well with me.
However I am, and always will be, grateful for all the support I received during this time.
I feel privileged and extremely fortunate to have, (with minor exceptions) been able to enjoy a fair measure of good health since the completion of my treatment and that I am in a position to give something back towards helping others.
Throughout the last three years I have managed to continue cycling which I believe has been a major factor in my rehabilitation (thanks Gary), my recovery, and the maintenance of my physical and mental wellbeing, not to mention my sanity.
In the past I have used cycling to raise money on a number of fundraising charity rides, and if you have supported me in the past I thank you for that.
Now,( like a coiled spring) I’m ready to go for the big one, and I would be grateful if you could help me, help the Bubble Foundation provide the best possible treatment for these kids.
Thank you in anticipation
John and Helen Bell.
Please feel free to pass this request on as appropriate
