So this is my second London Marathon, I did think it would be easier but now I know it is always a massive challenge.
DELTA, as a small national charity relies entirely on donations and faces huge challenges in keeping the programme of training events for parents going.
It's an oportunity to give a deaf baby the gift of speech! What a life changing gift!
UPDATE
April - Just back from the Easter Runs in Guersey - the good news is that I managed to better last years times. 56 mins for 10 K followed by 121 mins for a half marathon. It was very hard in the last 3 miles into a brisk head wind along the coast. So just 2 weeks now and while I do a little less running so as to have enough energy for the BIG ONE, 25th April. I am using a bit more time asking for sponsorship, so if you are reading this PLEASE donate generously. DELTA needs to get the message out as wide as possible that deaf children can listen and talk. We know it works. PLEASE !!
March - I ran the first Kilomathon from Nottingham to Derby recently - 26.2 K or (16.3 miles), either way it's a long way. All part of the training. Some of the winter running has been really hard but here I am with a month to go and realizing that my fund raising has been neglected. Please help me to raise my target - it's as big a challenge as the run itself.
