After completing my backwards walk over the Bealach-na-Ba near Applecross I decided I needed another challenge. I think I have the challenge bug!
I had a think about what to do next to help Highland Hospice, where my wife Rene was cared for and I took the plunge and I signed up to take part in a cycle challenge in Vietnam and Cambodia. In February 2012 I will cycle 326 miles from Ho Chi Minh City to Angkor Wat. I will average 50 miles a day and will spend long hot days in the saddle.
I would like to thank everyone who supported me in my Bealach-na-Ba walk. I was really touched by how generous people were and the encouragement I received. I managed to raise £3200 for the Hospice which means so much to me and to the Hospice.
I would therefore be very grateful if you would like to sponsor me for my next challenge. I really enjoy helping Highland Hospice and it also gives me a focus. I am a wee bit nervous about heading off to Vietnam and Cambodia as this is something really big for me. However I am also excited that I am doing some different. It will be a real challenge and I sometimes think I must be a bit mad but then that's me!
Any support and encouragement you could give me would be wonderful.
All my thanks,
John
