Thanks for checking out my JustGiving page!
The reason i'm raising money for St Davids Hospice is due to the 5-star care my Nana (Elsie Jones) had before she passed away in March 2010. The time i spent at the Hospice showed me how great the place is. The nurses, staff and not forgetting the volunteers provided a quality service to all the patients and family. All staff at the centre showed sensitivity, respect and dignity towards every person who walked through the doors of the Hospice.
My family and I are extremley greatful and thankful that St Davids Hospice were there to help care for Nana as they did a far better job than we ever imagined.
The Hospice rely on 75% donations from the public, so I've decided to do a few events throughout the year to raise as much money as possible. Feel free to contribute as much or as little as you want and if you can't afford to give, please don't feel you have to, I appreciate you taking the time to read this.
I'm not expecting to break any records, but more importantly my aim is to raise some awareness about St Davids Hospice and raise some money along the way.
I'm aiming to do a few events this year (more to follow!):
March - Berhkamstead (halfmarathon) - Done in 1:54
May - Stratford Upon Avon (Marathon) - Done in 4:51
August - Windsor - 220 Triathlon Evening Series Race 5
September - The Great North Run (halfmarathon)
None of the money raised will go towards the cost of the events, this will be paid for by myself.
Thanks for looking, your support is really appreciated. Let's hope I survive the events! Stay safe, John.
