Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For ages I've been on about riding along the canal from Liverpool to Leeds, and finally the time has come. But why stop at 127 miles, when there's the chance to get all the way to the other side of the country, and see more of glorious Yorkshire, so Scarborough is the final destination.

4 or 5 others have seen this as an 'opportunity' (there's some good pubs along the route), so on Wed 9th May we'll leave Pier Head, Liverpool, and not put off by York City's march on Wembley on 12th May, we'll be swimming in the South Bay and having a pint of Tetley's in the Newcastle Packet on the Friday before heading South (not by bike!).

This seems as good a reason as any to shake the charity tin and raise a few pounds for a good cause which has recently touched friends and family.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Maybe once I've done this, I can finally get on with getting that White Rose tattoo sorted - another sponsorship opportunity, eh?!

So please dig deep and donate now.
