Paul and I have been training for a number of months now to compete in The Great North Swim (a 1 mile open water swim in Lake Winderemere) and many people have asked if we were doing it to raise money.

Initially this was not the case as we had intended to do this just as a challenge and a chance to get back a level of fitness we once both shared as competitive swimmers...Oh how long ago that was!!!!!!

However, as there are so many worthwhile charities out there and so much extra cash jangling in people's pockets at this time, we thought what the hell and decided to go for it and set a high but (hopefully) realistic target.

We both hope you will support us in our campaign to raise funds for this worthwhile charity which is the only Scottish charity solely dedicated to restoring Scotland's native woods which are not only hugely important wildlife havens but are inspirational to visit, and unforgettable places where children can learn to truly appreciate nature.

Please make the effort to support this very worthwhile and important charity.

Many thanks

Jonny and Paul
