We fund research and raise awareness to create a world free from meningitis

Story

At just 6 weeks old my son was diagnosed with bacterial Meningitis.

Before my son was affected by this disease I was not aware of the serious implications that meningitis could have. The further heart breaking fact for me as a parent was that there was no vaccine to protect children from bacterial meningitis.

During my son’s treatment of meningitis both my wife & I went through an emotional rollercoaster and both felt powerless to help my son.

The love, support and medical treatment which my son received from the local hospital and family’s was fantastic and kept driving us through this difficult time.

As a parent who has experienced the affects of meningitis I feel very passionate about raising awareness and funds to help find a vaccine for this terrible disease. I hope that taking the challenge of running the will help increase awareness and raise funds for research into the Meningitis Research Foundation.
