My story

Dear All,

I'm running the Virgin London Marathon again this year to raise money for CdLS Foundation UK and in memory of Sienna Howard who sadly passed away last August. Sienna was the foster daughter of Andy, a good friend and colleague.

I asked Andy if he would write a little piece about Sienna for my fundraising page and his comments are below:

"Sienna's CdLS severely compromised her health. She'd had major heart surgery to correct an abnormality and she had a cleft palate, which meant she was fed through a tube. Her breathing had to be monitored throughout the night, and she also had hearing difficulties and an overall delay in her development.  She had to take lots of drugs every day, but she was an amazing and inspiring little girl, who was always smiling and making great progress.  Sadly, her condition made her vulnerable to infections and, tragically, she died of pneumonia last summer at the age of 21 months. We all miss her terribly, but she had a massive impact on so many people in her short life. She loved having people around her and parties and events, so she would have loved the spectacle and atmosphere of marathon day!  Please support Jordan so that the the CdLS Foundation can continue to support research and children like Sienna and their families."

Because of the rarety of the condition, essential fundraising for the charity is often difficult, and even the smallest donations will go a long way to assist in the work that the CdLS does.

I would really appreciate it if you could make a donation,no matter how large or small, for the CdLS and in memory of little Sienna. I could not think of a better way to pay tribute to her than to offer support this great cause.

It's easy to donate online with a debit or credit card - just go to my page:

http://www.justgiving.com/JordanLeake

Your donation will go straight to CdLS Foundation UK and they can reclaim Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more.

Thank you for your time and your support to this exceptional cause.

Best wishes,

Jordan
