We grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.

Story

I am taking part in the BUPA Great North Run on Sunday 19th September 2010 in Newcastle - the biggest half marathon in the world!  It will be my first race and yes, training HAS already started (I will just have to give up the Guiness a bit nearer the time!).  The Make-A-Wish Foundation does great work brightening up the lives of children and young people battling with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.  I was a gift recipient myself in 2007 following treatment for cancer so it will be great to do something to help others.  I'm taking part with my Dad, Martin (who will be nearly 48 then and still bald) and good family friend, Andrew Weightman (who has dodgy knees) so I reckon I'm in with a good chance.  Please donate whatever you can afford - every little helps, especially for those really poorly children who may not have much of a future.  If you are a UK tax payer, the charity can claim back the tax, increasing your donation in the process.  Photos of me at the finishing line will be circulated afterwards!

Many thanks for reading this and for your kind donation.
