Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Three of us from Russell Worth Solicitors ‘The Skydive Nutz’ are going to do this Charity SkyDive in aid of St Luke’s Hospice, Plymouth. From left to right in the picture - Judith Bloxsome, Kerry Sunsburg and Kirsty McMahon.

As most of our friends and family know, we have been involved in many challenges over the years ..... Tree Surfing.... Triple Challenge...... Adrenaline Rush (to name just a few).

This challenge has to rate amongst one of the maddest ever!
Imagine standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 15,000 feet. Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go - freefalling at over 120mph! Nope........can’t even think about it at the moment!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh madness!!!!!

Kirsty McMahon, Kerry Sunsburg and Judith Bloxsome would really appreciate any sponsorship you feel able to give. Obviously we would like to raise as much as we can, but would like to say that we will be paying the cost of the jump itself, so this will NOT come out of the sponsorship money we raise.

St Luke’s is a charity close to our hearts.  One amazing woman, Hazel Bloxsome, was cared for by them for the final weeks of her life and Derrick Bloxsome (who would like his age kept a secret!!!) also works for them as a volunteer on the Reception. He has been known to do over 25 hours in one week!!!!

There are many people affected by Cancer, and St Luke’s  are a local charity, caring for terminally ill patients and their families from Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall. There is a growing need for specialist palliative and end of life care as statistics show that 1 in 5 people in this area will develop a terminal illness. Only with your help can St Luke’s continue to provide that special and unique care.

It costs £6million a year to run St Luke’s so that they can provide their care, free of charge to the local community. With only 30% funding from the government their income generation department works hard each year to reach the £4.5million fundraising target to keep their service running.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
