Well I have one week to go and then I will be treading the NY streets for all they are worth, I have my tunes ready, my legs of steel are up for the challenge having ran hundreds of miles through them and my eating habits havent changed a great deal with being an irish las its easy to get me carbohydrates in with a good spud or two.... wish me luck and sponsor today!
To all of those who have already sponsored thank you very much I know the kids around Gloucestershire will appreciate it.

Background information!!
I have been volunteered to run the NY Marathon as part of the Health and Wellbeing programme at work and although I have never ran further than the length of my nose I thought this would be an interesting challenge! I have the best coach around for miles who has dedicated their time and resources to pushing me around the forest of dean cycle tracks and walking trails for which I am very thankful and appreciate his words of encouragement.... they will be ringing in my ears as I tread the NY streets!
For me running has never been a strong point so when I was initially asked I was super positive and then thought that I needed a purpose for running in order to keep my momentum going.... So what better an opportunity than to raise funds for the local Gloucestershire Have a Heart campaign. This year the campaign is concentrating on raising funds for disadvantaged children and young people.
I hope you will all dig deep and donate now, every little bit counts and will help me through the final push to the big event!
