On 28th August 2009, Judy Murty, our wife and Mum, passed away at St. Leonard's Hospice in York after battling bowel cancer for 2 years. The staff at the hospice were wonderful, and we could not have coped without the help and care they provided when Mum needed it the most.

Whilst Mum was still able to do so, she made clear that she wanted to give "hundreds of thousands and millions of pounds" to the hospice. In memory of her wishes, and because of how much we owe the hospice staff for their tireless care and support, we have set up this JustGiving page in order to start raising the millions of pounds... ;)

Please give as much as you wish to the St. Leonard's Hospice - until you have direct experience of a hospice, you have no idea how amazing and important the work is that they do. Given that £2.8 million of St. Leonard's £3.2 million annual running costs are met through donations, legacies and fund raising, we wish to help them as much as possible.
