On
the 18th July 2009 Jue and Pete attempted to complete the Bob
Graham Round: a journey of 64 miles around 42 of the highest mountain
tops in the Lake District in 24 hours, with a total ascent equivalent to climbing Everest! Despite tough weather and difficult conditions we managed to complete 39 mountain tops in the 24 hours. We are still recovering!!

- Hope International
Read on for more information about these charities, the Bob Graham Round and why we have chosen this challenge..
Hope International is a non-profit making organisation, supported by Woodlands, who try to help the world's poorest people through community based projects. These projects include providing clean water and sanitation, supporting families by helping them grow enough food to feed themselves and their communities, providing education for children and adults, and saving lives in times of disaster or conflict, helping survivors rebuild their lives, livelihoods and communities.
The Bob Graham Round
Bob Graham
was a hotelier in the Lake District in the 1930s who on his 42nd
birthday shattered the existing record for the most
Lake District peaks to be visited in a 24 hour period. He tried to
visit 41 peaks the previous year and didn't make it, but then added an
extra peak (Great Calva) and succeeded. Our aim is the complete the
same route, at the same age (we are both 42 this year), and raise as
much as we can for charity.
