In October I will be travelling to Nepal to trek for 7 days in the Himalayas to raise money for the Anandaban Leprosy Hospital in Kathmandu.

Since I was a small child when we had an L shaped collection box in our home for the Leprosy Mission (or the Mission to Lepers as it was then called,) I have been interested in the work that they do in so many countries.  Unfortunately even with the invention of drugs that can cure, leprosy is still endemic.

I have been given the opportunity of spending two nights at the Anandaban Leprosy Hospital in Kathmandu to see the amasing work that they are doing there.  We then go on to trek in the Himalayas in order to riase money for the Hospital.

All sponsorship money that I raise will be given to the Anandaban Hospital in Nepal which is one of the poorest countries in the world.  None of it will be used to cover my expenses which I am covering myself.
