Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In November this year, I will be trying to cycle 446km (126km on the last day!) through Cambodia aid of the International Childcare Trust.

ICT operates in partnership with local grassroots NGOs in Africa and Asia and provides vital support to thousands of vulnerable children and their families each year. It helps to ensure that children have the safety and security they need and it gives some of the world's most vulnerable children a chance in life...

Last year alone ICT supported 17 projects with 10 partners in 6 countries.

The need to protect the rights of some of the world's poorest and most marginalised children by supporting local community self-help programs is vast. Thousands of children thoughout the world have lost their parents to AIDS, suffer from severe ill-health and malnutrition, or have been forced to flee their homes due to natural disaster, armed conflict and/or family dysfunction. Many of these children find themselves living and working on the streets in abject poverty, where they are vulerable to abuse and exploitation....

Through ICT you can:

Give a child life saving vaccinations: £20 will pay for tetanus vaccinations for 80 children

Send a child to school: £40 will enable an orphaned child to buy school uniform and clothes

Provide an education for children unable to get to school: £50 will pay for the salary of an outreach teacher in the slum areas, providing informal education to young children, unable to access bigger centres
