It is with regret that I must inform you that I am no longer taking part in the NY Marathon. This is largely due to recently taking a new job and not being able to take the necessary time off either side of the trip but also due to a lack of training through illness. I am conscious that you have made donations for which I am extremely grateful. As you know your donations (through Just Giving) will have already gone to the Royal School for Deaf in Margate. If you would prefer your donation to be return (and I would totally understand) please let me know and I will arrange for a refund.
I am now planning to run the London Marathon but this will be for Whizz Kidz who I ran for last year.

Dear friends, family, colleagues, associates and fellow parents,
Another month, another marathon!
On 1st November I am taking part in the New York 2009 Marathon.
This will be my 3rd marathon this year and hopefully my last (this year) so that I can actually rest and enjoy Christmas...!
For New York I am trying to raise money for the John Townsend Trust (formerly known as the Royal School for Deaf Children Margate). The Trust provides education, care, therapy, medical support and independence training for young deaf people with additional needs. It is an incredible school with a mission to educate and care for deaf children and young adults, who may have additional needs, for a positive future.
Any donation you can give will help tremendously to provide additional support to the trust.
