My story

This is the Kielder Water Sailing Club Air Ambulance fund.

The fund was originally set up in July 2009 after a terrible accident in which Geoff Wilkinson & his daughter Victoria lost their lives.

The air ambulance service is something which we hope we will never have to use again either at the sailing club or in any other circumstances but we hope members & non members including those from outside the area will use this page to make donations as this particular branch of the Air Ambulance Service covers such a large & remote area. The helicopters are a regular sight in the Tyne Valley & are on hand to help people from all areas & all walks of life. The nearest main A&E units are 50 miles away by road. A helicopter can do this in under 15 minutes.

The sailing club feels it should do all it can to help raise the funds to support the GNAA. You never know when they might be needed.

Donations can be made in cash & will be recorded as an "offline donation" but will not be eligible for Giftaid.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
