We support research & wellbeing projects to help those with childhood brain tumours

Story

Our friendship and also the connection with this charity stem from a longstanding hobby of performing with Oxford Operatic Society. We have been members for more years than we'd care to say. Many friendships have been forged during this amazing time, and many memories of being on stage in various guises being part of incredible shows (see gallery).

Some people call it the Ox Ops Family... A network of folks not only there to sing and dance with, but to be there when times are hard. We are just doing our little bit to be alongside Diana and Sally, members of Ox Ops with whom we have performed many times, but who are also Granny/Mum to a special little boy, Skye, who lost his life last year.

We have decided to walk the Thames Path, well a large chunk of it, as part of the Thames Path Challenge. We are walking 50km (31 miles) during the course of one day, 12 September, alongside several hundred other folks, from Runnymede to Henley.

Participating in their event involves a commitment to raising at least £295 each, hence the target of £600. We would obviously like to raise as much as possible, and any donation, no matter how small, wil be most gratefully received. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
