Thanks for making it to my fundraising site! I will be running the Royal Parks Half in the support of Refuge, http://refuge.org.uk, below are some info and shocking statistics about domestic violence.

Domestic violence is a serious crime which takes lives and ruins lives in staggering amounts. In this country, one woman in four will experience domestic violence at some point in her lifetime, and up to two women are killed every week by a partner or former partner in  and .

£50 could pay for a psychologist to support two abused children, helping them to come to terms with the trauma of witnessing or experiencing domestic violence.

£20 could provide one woman with an ‘emergency pack’ and food. When women arrive at a refuge following a violent assault, with nothing other than the clothes they are wearing, items like this help them get back on their feet.

£10 could go towards the cost of securing a protection order to prevent a perpetrator from harassing and abusing a woman.

But anything from £1, £2, £5 is a great help, so please show your love!
