After 2011's 10km swim for Leukaemia, I thought about what I could do this year to challenge me even more, & who I could raise a bit of dosh for.
The Charity:
As the charity description says, CHUMS is based in Bedfordshire (my home county). My godmother, my Mum, & a lot more people put their time & effort into providing this much needed service to the children that have lost someone special in their lives. So I would like to give a bit of support where I can, and this is how I will attempt to get you all generously donating...
The Event(s):
As most of you who will read this know, I am a swimmer & a hockey player...definitely not a runner! So this fact made me as myself "What event would push me to my limits more than anything I have ever done?"...obviously swimming the channel is out of the question (for now!!)...
...I will be running a Half Marathon in Letchworth in May, followed by a Triathlon (400m swim, 20km bike, 5km run) in Buckingham in June, followed by a Marathon (sadly not the London one) in Stevenage in July...
...As the furthest distance I have ever run is a 10km only a few months ago (where, on crossing the line, I vowed never to run that far again), this will be the most challenging exercise feat of mine to date.
SO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GIVE AS LITTLE OR AS MUCH AS YOU CAN SPARE FOR THIS AWESOME CHARITY!
Thank You So Much :-)
(I know I can always count on all my generous, caring friends to support me in this challenge)
