I am trying to raise money for the charity Msaada. Msaada is a charity that is helping victims of the Rwandan genocide. If you want to know more about the charity visit their page by clicking here.
Our school is partnered with The Excel School in Rwamagana, a small town in the east of Rwanda. The school premises are an ex-prison; the classrooms are cells but the students, from families that can afford it, turn up to learn every day with a smile on their face even though a lot of them have walked up to 7 miles to get there and before 8am! Our school is hoping to improve the school and to give every child in the area the opportunity to learn; many from poorer families stand outside the windows of the school most days trying to learn from afar.
On July 10th our school has organised a 4 and half mile walk that the whole school will participate in. Our aim to raise as much money as we can for the Excel School so that more children will have the opportunity to learn and have a brighter future.
Please try and help me raise money by sponsoring me. I have put £100 as my aim and it may be too large, but if I can get more than it would be amazing for the people that it will help.
