My story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
From the 7th to the 9th May 2010, I will be taking part in a 300km sponsored cycle ride with a team to raise money for Computer Aid International. The cycle route begins in and hopefully ends in 3 days later. The money i raise will contribute to the continuation and expansion of the work of Computer Aid International.
For those of you that know me well, you will realise that under normal circumstances this would not be my first choice of leisure activity. I am more of a glass of wine and pizza sort of girl with the occasional crazy night out thrown in for good measure. However, after careful consideration, I have decided that i am ready for a challenge and having met with the guys from Computer Aid and gaining an understanding of the work they are doing and how this vital work is improving the lives of so many communities in developing countries, I thought what better incentive?!!!
At the moment I am still feeling fairly confident that I have made the right decision to take part. I have decided to look on the bright side of horror stories concerning saddle sores and muscle cramps and am focusing on the positives such as the beautiful scenery I will witness and interesting people I am likely to meet along the way. No doubt my aspect will change considerably as we draw nearer to the event and my training advances.
On a serious note, this will be the most challenging endeavour of my life to date and I hope through doing this, I will be helping Computer Aid and proving that this is a very worthy cause and one that deserves recognition.
I really appreciate you taking time to visit my page and I hope I have managed to convey the need and value of your support.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Computer Aid International gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you
