Here I am in happy times with my Mum, Anne Davidson, who sadly passed away on 7th June 2009 after a long and courageous struggle against breast cancer.  I am completing the memory walk in Penrith on 4th September 2009 to raise funds for the Eden Valley Hospice in Carlisle where we as a family spent our last few weeks.

The hospice provided us with a safe and secure haven - we knew that time was precious and we were able to spend some of this time quietly together until the end.  The staff were kind, thoughtful and tremendously caring, and really nothing was too much trouble. They cared for my Mum with dignity and respect and for that we will always be grateful.

I will never, ever, be able to forget the time I spent in the hospice, and if I can raise some money in memory of my dear Mum to help with their fantastic work I would be delighted!
