Great North Swim - 12th Sept 2009.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. So Coniston was 15 degrees, thank goodness it was warmer in Windermere - it actually made it to 16.3 degrees in the best sunshine we have seen for a long time!
A great day and I managed the swim in 39 mins even fitting in time to talk to th camera crew having climbed out of the water but before the time gantry - that'll teach me to listen to the instructions next time...yes, I think there might even be a next time!
I'm staggered at the amount raised so far - brilliant - thank you very, very much indeed!
If you are just glad it wasn't you, maybe consider for a moment how much you would have paid pay NOT to be swimming in Windermere on 12th September and maybe donate a fraction of that amount to Cash for Kids ?!
Each year CFM Radio's Cash for Kids hope to have thousands of pounds available for grants to children’s charities throughout the CFM transmission area. All the money is raised locally and spent locally and goes to children and young people, under 18 throughout the CFM area. These are children with mental, physical or sensory disabilities, with behavioural or psychological disorders, living in poverty or situations of deprivation, suffering through distress, abuse or neglect.
