ChildLine is the UK's free and confidential, 24-hour helpline for children in distress or danger. Trained volunteer counsellors comfort, advise, support and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn. Children call ChildLine about a wide range of problems, but the most common problems are abuse (both sexual and physical), bullying, serious family tensions, worries about friends' welfare and teenage pregnancy. Children and young people can call ChildLine about anything – no problem is too big or too small. ChildLine is a service provided by the NSPCC

My story

Katherine died on 7th October 2009 after a life of service to others. She worked immensely hard as a volunteer for Childline which was a charity dear to her heart. She would have been delighted with any donations that her family and friends could give which will help to support children in need of advice and guidance which Childline provides. Such donations will also help her colleagues at Childine whose work she admired and whose friendship she greatly valued.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. It is the most efficient way to donate - it will raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

There will be a CELEBRATION OF KATHERINE'S LIFE at 2.00pm on Saturday 7th November at Rusland Church, Rusland, Nr Ulverston, Cumbria LA12 8JZ. As it is a celebration please wear something colourful.
