Hello and thanks for taking the time to visit my page!
On Sunday 18 July I will be taking part in a walk around the beautiful Marbury Country Park in Cheshire, with my notorious but adorable beagles, Poppy and Lola, to raise money for Beagle Welfare.
Beagle Welfare helps re-home beagles which can no longer be cared for by their previous owners, giving many beagles a better chance at a new life with a loving owner. Beagles are renowned for being a challenging breed and Beagle Welfare officers offer free advice and support to existing and prospective owners to help prevent rescue problems.
So far this year volunteer beagle welfare officers have found new homes for over 100 beagles, with ages from ten weeks to eleven years. Unfortunately, it is an ongoing struggle to raise sufficient funds to cover the essential costs involved in providing a nationwide re-homing service (e.g. veterinary fees and kennelling costs). This is where fund raising events are vital to the ongoing work of the charity.
It’s a fantastic charity close to my own heart and any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s a most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
