Here we go again, second time round, faster & fitter than last year! 

For those of you who don't know (where have you been?) I'm running to raise money for Leonard Cheshire because of my big brother.

Matthew is nearly two years older than me and during our early childhood he was always getting himself into scrapes, climbing trees, riding his bike and generally being a boy. Sadly as he got older things started to go wrong for him, and whilst we don't know why and we probably never will, he is now totally wheelchair bound, he can't see and he can't speak or eat. He's locked in his own little world which we can't access, although occasionally you get a flash of his cheeky grin. He has been cared for by Leonard Cheshire at Newlands House for a number of years now and they do their best to make what time he has left dignified and comfortable. So, as I'm too impatient to bake lots of cakes, I figured that pounding the pavements was one way in that I could give something back to them. Matthew was part of the cross-country team at school when we lived in Sheffield so there's a vague theme running (!) through this idea.

So, it would be much appreciated if you would sponsor me as I'm determined not to pull any muscles nor catch any colds the week before this time around. Any willing spectators with jelly babies much appreciated on the day too! :-)
