After the amazingness that was Raleigh in 2009 I have decided to go on another adventure for charity.
In the summer of 2011 I will be doing a trek to Machu Picchu to raise money for the charity Practical Action. They are an amazing charity that, for over 40 years, has been working with some of the world's poorest people using simple technology to fight poverty and transform their lives.
Practical Action believe that the right idea – however small – can change lives. It can create jobs, improve health and livelihoods, and help people have better lives. That's why, since 1966, they've been working with poor people to develop the skills and technology that will enable them to build a better future.
I plan on raising £2,500 (or more if possible) which will go to Practical Action.
I'm currently in the process of planning a few events to get the total a bit higher, but for now any donations you might have will be greatly appreciated.
My JustGiving account will make it easy peasy and safe for you to donate. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, and your details won't get passed on to anyone.
So please dig deep and donate now. :)
Thanks,
Katie x
