I will be running the London Marathon on April 25th for The Docklands Settlements.
This is an excellent charity which aims to improve the lives of those living in some of the poorest areas of London by hosting an ever increasing range of social activities including; parent & toddler groups, parenting courses, scout & cub packs, Tae Kwon Do, aerobics, ballroom & rock ‘n’ roll dancing, singing & music classes and a pensioners’ club. This is vital in providing children with an alternative to the life of gangs and street crime and providing parents, who perhaps themselves have come from difficult family backgrounds, the parental skills the need.
The Docklands Settlements are also working to regenerate estates in this area and provide the residents with somewhere they can feel safe and be proud to call home.
