I have recently been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, which is a debilitating stomach condition which means that some days it is difficult for me to leave my house and which is especially tough with 3 small children. I feel it is important to raise awareness of Inflamatory Bowel Diseases such as Colitis, as these conditions are often not talked about as sufferers are embarrassed. We suffer in silence. 

My Colitis is currently stable and managed with medication and so I am able to take on this mighty challenge and run the Brighton Marathon in 2018 to raise money for those that are suffering and to promote awareness of the condition. Crohn's and Colitis UK is a charity that aims to empower sufferers by giving them as much information as possible. They also hope to find a cure for these conditions so that others won't have to suffer in future.
