My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In October 2012 I am cycling 500km from Vietnam to Cambodia, over 8 days, across 8 cities to fundraise towards the redevelopment of a much loved grade ll listed building in Lewisham, which is known locally as The Ladywell Playtower.
The Building has not been used for many years and has fallen into serious disrepair. Volunteer Centre Lewisham, along with 3 other organisations hope to get this glorious building restored and back into community use. This includes having voluntary and community organisations based there and hopefully a community cafe and venues to hire.
The long term plan will cost around £6million, but even the feasibility studies, drawing up plans will cost a lot of money.
£8000, to cycle for 8 days, stopping in 8 cities in 2 countries. You can help us reach this target.

Last week, whilst on my ride home from work I met a lovely couple, walking their dogs on Isle of Dogs. They do not know me, nor Lewisham, nor the Ladywell Tower, and yet they made a donation. This shows how kind and generous people can be. Thank you.
8 weeks to go.... I need to pack in a lot of training. riding to and from work regularly now, and need to add a few long journeys to get my backside used to the saddle We need lots more sponsors to help us reach our target. Please share the link with friends

Volunteer Centre Lewisham is the volunteer development agency for Lewisham. VCL's Chief Executive is cycling 500km, to 8 cities, in 8 days from Vientam to Cambodia in October 2012 to raise funds for redevelopment of Ladywell Tower, to bring this building back to the local community.
