Story

Hello peeps,

As you all know by now, I will be attempting to run the Run to the Beat Half Marathon on Sunday 27th September!!

I’d like to say that over the past few months I’ve gradually been increasing my training ready for the event, however I got sidetracked by summer and the beer gardens.  So I will be cramming as much as I possibly can into the last month in the hope to get round the 13.1mile course in one piece!!

I’m running the race in memory of my Mum Lesley who died of cancer last year and will be raising money for the hospice that helped us so much while we looked after her at home, Harris Hospicare.  They are a fantastic charity and help those suffering from terminal illnesses. Their help really was invaluable to us at such a difficult time.  So please help me raise some money for such a worthy cause!!

If you are able to give a few pence or pounds in sponsorship it would be very much appreciated. Don't feel obliged to give up your life savings as any amount no matter how small is very welcome.  You can also leave a little message of encouragement too.

I’m sure there will be plenty of pictures showing me crossing the finish line (and probably looking like I’ve been dragged through a bush!) from all my lovely family and friends that are coming to cheer me on!

xxxxxx
