Promoting Equality in African Schools (PEAS) is a rapidly growing charity that aims to widen access to education in Africa by founding and developing sustainable, low-fee secondary schools.
Funds raised by PEAS pay for the start-up capital costs of school building projects. This means that PEAS schools have lower running costs and lower fees. Quite simply, PEAS makes quality secondary education avaiable to far more young Ugandans!
The first PEAS school has allowed nearly 900 pupils, many of whom are orphaned by AIDS or malaria, the chance of a brighter future. Please help PEAS build more sustainable, low-fee schools by supporting me take part in a 10K hike around the area of Mam Tor (Castleton/Edale). In addition, I have been accepted on a volunteering 3-week placement in Uganda working in partnership with PEAS Ugandan staff and schools, developing the skills of the permanent staff.
My aim is to raise £500 for PEAS - they can do an amazing amount with only a little money!
So please dig deep and donate now.
