The Hawk Conservancy Trust has been an important part of our lives since 1990. We have been members since then, and Keith became an active volunteer in 1991. In 1996 Keith created a web page for them, which has, over the years, evolved into the site it now is (www.hawk-conservancy.org). Active volunteering ceased when we retired to France in 2006, but Keith is still webmaster, which keeps him in close contact with the Trust.

On the 21st September 2013, together with Wire Fox Terrier Ulysse and Jack Russell Terror Trevor, we shall be taking part in the Hawk Conservancy Hike For Hawks sponsored walk to raise funds for their National Bird of Prey Hospital. 238 walkers will take on either a 5 or 10 mile route across the beautiful Hampshire countryside.

Why 238? thats the number of injured birds that were cared for in the hospital last year.  So each walker will be directly supporting an injured bird.

As an additional challenge a team of team, made up of Trust staff, directors and volunteers, will be attempting  the 10 mile walk carrying 10 owl nestboxes, ladders and everything else needed to install them, which they will do in suitable locations along the route. They will even be joined by the Trust's Owl Mascot Owlfa.
