It is just over 2 weeks since my trip to Paris. I seem to have recovered well but riding the 8 miles to work seems to be harder than I expected after all the miles I have done over the past 5 months. Probably all in my head!!!
Also my Liverpool friend hasn’t written, phoned or even emailed! Well he had his chance but he has blown it. I am back to supporting Crystal Palace!
The 300 miles took just over 17 hours of actual riding time -average speed of about 17 miles per hour. Quite pleased for an OAP!
With all your help and few outstanding pledges, we should have raised over £3000 plus gift aid. The end total should be around £3750. So a huge thank you from me and all at Pepenbury.
Pepenbury will be using the money from the London to Paris ride to build an outside gym and play equipment to improve the health and fitness and enhance the lives of our service users, adults with learning disabilities. The equipment will also be open to the local community - bringing everyone together and breaking down barriers.
I also will let you know when we get the final total from the 4 of us who rode in aid of Pepenbury.
There are a couple of mug shots and the one with the structure behind me is not the Crystal Palace aerial but the Eiffel Tower!
