Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I started doing voluntary work at St Luke's Hospice in July 2013 and find being around the staff, volunteers and patients an incredibly rewarding experience.

The dedication, hard work, care and love that the staff and volunteers give to the patients and to each other is truly humbling and I am very proud to be a new member of the team at St Luke's.

I have never done anything like a Trek before, and I have never even slept in a tent in my life! So the challenge of trekking through the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert in Morrocco for 6 days and nights, sleeping in a tent without being able to wash etc is a huge personal ask and one I am eager to grab with both hands so that I can help St Luke's raise more funds to continue their outstanding work for those patients who need the care that they so unselfishly provide.

I hope that I can ask all of my family and friends to help me in my goal of raising funds for such a worthwhile cause and I thank everyone in advance for whatever help and support they can give, no matter how much.

I have given my target a kick start by donating £1,300 myself so if I can raise even more than my target of £3,000 I will be over the moon and St Luke's will benefit enormously from your kind generosity and support.
