Virgin London Marathon 2012 · 22 April 2012 ·

We aim to restore the historic church of All Saints to its rightful place as the heart and soul of Kingston upon Thames. The church was the site of the coronation of seven Saxon Kings, and also of the Great Council in 823 AD which first established the links between Church and State which are still visible in the constitution today. The proposed restoration will build on this heritage while at the same time developing the church’s role as a cultural centre and providing important community services to nurture Kingston's future.

Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

I'm running the London Marathon on 22 April and raising funds for the ASK project, a charity of which I'm a Trustee. The project has received Heritage Lottery Funding and support from the Outer London Fund and needs to raise a further £1.5m by the end of 2012 so it can begin phase 1 of the project this Autumn. Any donation you can give will be so gratefully received by ASK and will help bring alive the history of Kingston, the place where England began. You can read about the project at:

http://www.whereenglandbegan.co.uk/

Thank you for support - it is really appreciated!

Kevin
