There are 22 of us taking on the challenge of trekking to Everest Base Camp in October 2011. We are aiming to raise as much as we can for a very worthy cause. Please be assured that because we have the Allen family out there administering their skills, talent and what funding we raise (without a single penny being taken up with admin) every single pound raised literally goes to the mouths and needs of the local people, not only within the children's hospice, but to those orphaned street children (who are often strung out on glue, trying to numb the pain of their existence) and to other families in deepest poverty and need in the Nyeri town of Kenya.
