Dear Reader, 

Many of us know how important education is in our lives and how it has aided us in becoming the people we are. However, not everyone is in such a privileged position to have access to even the most basic of education! This year I am embarking on a 3 month trip to Gambia, Africa, where I will be part of a team of physical volunteer team helping to build a school from the foundations upwards. The main inspiration for this project is based upon my trip to Romania last year, where I worked with underprivileged children who were living on the bread line. I realised how much of a positive impact I could have in 2 weeks! I now want to build upon my past experiences of volunteering but on a larger, more, practical scale and help those children who are in need. Any money that is donated is so important as it will help to secure the education of many underprivileged children and guarantee the positive work of 'The Gambian Schools Trust' for many years to come!
